The because approach

The because approach

If anyone is after a good book to read, i have just started to read this and found it quite relevant to where we are at as a community. Its a simular sort of layout to "Reimaging Spritual Formation". And is great for just dipping into. Andrew Baughen has some intresting ideas to keep the church relevant to all. Scriptural references thoughout keeping his ideas rooted in the Bible. I would certainly give it a look.
Andrew used to be a strategy consultant he is now the vicar of St James Clerkenwell in central London. http://www.jc-church.org/
Its RRP is £9.99; amazon have it on offer for £8.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1850786143/026-6945256-6946068
Or if you like you can order through me for £7.99.

There are 10 types of people in this world, those that get binary and those that don't.
This is an extract from my blog - dated Nov 04...and I still think it is worthy of consideration, the quote that is, not neccessarily my blog....."Normally I hate, maybe thats a bit strong, get a bit irked, by constant debate about "Church" but hey ho, here's my contribution and they're not even my words I've just pinched this of a site Naomi Hill blogs on and I love it and think it is worthy of consideration.
'Jesus didn't set out to found the institution of the church, but nor did it happen by accident - church is the event which happens when we encounter Jesus. If we don't encounter Jesus then it's not church' (from the Archbishop's address)"
